Offset

The J.R. Hoe O-Series downspout boot features a 2 inch offset at the bottom of the boot allowing for a vertical connection to the underground drainage pipe.

 
 

Angular

The J.R. Hoe A-Series downspout boot is recommended for both ground level discharge as well as below grade drainage pipe connections.

Downspout Boots

Cast iron downspout boots, also known as downspout shoes or rainwater leaders, are installed onto sheet metal downspouts which are a part of building roof drainage system. They are commonly specified by engineers and architects for installation on commercial, industrial, school and military base building projects. Solid cast iron downspout boots ensure that the bottom part of the exposed metal downspout is protected from damage.

Downspout boots also enhance the building appearance. The J.R. Hoe cast downspout boot provides a transition from the square or rectangular downspout into the round piping system which connects to the stormwater drainage system. J.R. Hoe downspout boots are engineered and 3D modeled to provide the most efficient interior square-to-round flow in the industry to eliminate clogging/leaks in the roof drain system.

J.R. Hoe downspout boots are designed to fit multiple downspout sizes, they are offered in lengths from 16 to 80 inches, and fit virtually all round outlet pipes and sizes.Three outlet designs are offered: Offset (O Series), Angular (A series) and Ninety Degree (N Series). All designs work well with Fernco adaptors to connect to outlet piping. Unlike breakable plastic plumbing fittings or thin-walled stainless sheet metal fabrications, cast iron Downspout boots express a natural contoured look to enhance the architecture of the building.

J.R. Hoe Downspout Boots are a sustainable construction product, manufactured from recycled cast iron which give them a natural durability that will last the life of the building. They are MADE IN USA and qualify for LEED credits 4.1/4.1 for Recycled Content on Green Building and Infrastructure projects. When ordering downspout boots, you will need to know the inside top bell dimension, length and bottom outside spigot dimension. Some downspout boots are available with a cleanout plug, with a powdercoat finish or with one coat of primer
